Responsibilities
Managing and mentoring a team of quality engineers, including Senior Quality Engineers, Lead Quality Engineers, and junior staff.
Defining and implementing quality assurance strategies, policies, and procedures to ensure product reliability and compliance with industry standards.
Continuously improving quality processes, tools, and methodologies to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
Working closely with product management, development, and DevOps teams to ensure quality is integrated throughout the product lifecycle.
Driving the development and implementation of automated testing frameworks and tools to improve testing efficiency.
Establishing key quality metrics, monitoring performance, and reporting to senior management.
Identifying potential risks to product quality and implementing mitigation strategies.
Ensuring products meet regulatory and industry standards (e.g., ISO, FDA, etc.).
Managing budgets, resources, and timelines for quality engineering projects.
Acting as the primary point of contact for quality-related issues with internal and external stakeholders.
Desired Profile
Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s in Engineering, Computer Science, IT, or a related field.
Experience: 10 years in IT, with 5+ years in Quality Engineering (QE) and 2+ years in a supervisory role (8 years total experience if holding a Master’s degree).
Automation & Testing: 5 years of experience developing/maintaining automated test suites, UI Testing, and using frameworks like Selenium, JUnit, or TestNG.
Programming & Tools: 3 years of experience with Python, Java, or JavaScript.
DevOps & CI/CD: 3 years of experience with SDLC/DevOps practices, Jenkins or GitLab CI, and Cloud/Container tools (AWS, Git, Docker).
Project Management: 3 years of experience in project management using JIRA.
Process Improvement: 2 years of experience with methodologies such as Lean or Six Sigma.
Performance Testing: 1 year of experience with HP Load Runner.
