Responsibilities

  • Team Leadership: Managing and mentoring a team of quality engineers, including Senior Quality Engineers, Lead Quality Engineers, and junior staff.

  • Quality Strategy Development: Defining and implementing quality assurance strategies, policies, and procedures to ensure product reliability and compliance with industry standards.

  • Process Improvement: Continuously improving quality processes, tools, and methodologies to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.

  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Working closely with product management, development, and DevOps teams to ensure quality is integrated throughout the product lifecycle.

  • Automation Oversight: Driving the development and implementation of automated testing frameworks and tools to improve testing efficiency.

  • Quality Metrics and Reporting: Establishing key quality metrics, monitoring performance, and reporting to senior management.

  • Risk Management: Identifying potential risks to product quality and implementing mitigation strategies.

  • Compliance and Standards: Ensuring products meet regulatory and industry standards (e.g., ISO, FDA, etc.).

  • Budget and Resource Management: Managing budgets, resources, and timelines for quality engineering projects.

  • Stakeholder Communication: Acting as the primary point of contact for quality-related issues with internal and external stakeholders.

Desired Profile

  • Education: Bachelor’s in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. (Alternatively, a Master’s degree in the same fields is accepted).

  • Experience: 10 years of experience in IT, including a minimum of 5 years in Quality Engineering (QE) roles and 2 years in supervisory QE role(s). If holding a Master’s degree, 8 years of experience in the above-stated occupations is required.

  • Automation & Testing: 5 years of experience developing and maintaining automated test suites, performing UI Testing, and using automation tools/frameworks (e.g., Selenium, JUnit, or TestNG).

  • Programming & Tools: 3 years of experience with a programming language (e.g., Python, Java, or JavaScript).

  • DevOps & CI/CD: 3 years of experience with software development lifecycle (SDLC) and DevOps practice, CI/CD pipelines and/or tools (e.g., Jenkins, or GitLab CI), and Cloud/DevOps tools (e.g., AWS, Git, or Docker).

  • Project Management: 3 years of experience in project management using JIRA.

  • Process Improvement: 2 years of experience with process improvement methodologies (e.g., Lean, or Six Sigma).

  • Performance Testing: 1 year of experience with HP Load Runner.

Location and Compensation

  • Location: 7272 Wisconsin Ave., Floor 9, Bethesda, MD 20814.

  • Rate of Pay: $142,834.00 per year.
