HiLabs is looking for a highly skilled Technical Architect to help build next-generation AI-powered healthcare platforms transforming the US healthcare ecosystem. This is a high-impact leadership role for engineers who enjoy solving complex architecture challenges, building scalable distributed systems, and driving engineering excellence across modern cloud-native platforms.
Responsibilities
Architecting scalable, reliable, and high-performance healthcare platforms
Designing cloud-native applications using AWS, Azure, or GCP
Driving backend and full-stack architecture using Java, Spring Boot, and Microservices
Building modern APIs, distributed systems, and reusable platform components
Collaborating with Product, Data Science, and Engineering teams to deliver AI-driven solutions
Mentoring engineers and influencing engineering best practices across teams
Desired Profile
10+ years of software engineering experience with strong architecture expertise
Deep hands-on experience with Java, Spring Boot, Microservices, REST APIs
Strong understanding of distributed systems, cloud platforms, Docker, Kubernetes
Experience building scalable SaaS or enterprise platforms
Exposure to React, modern frontend technologies, and Big Data ecosystems is a plus
Strong communication, technical leadership, and problem-solving mindset
Location & Work Model
Onsite role based in Bethesda, Maryland
Open to candidates across the US who are willing to relocate
